Best family-friendly Paris hotels

1. Le Meurice – Dorcheser Collection

One word: views. And such exceptional views they are. Overlooking the entirety of Paris from its wraparound terrace, this hotel palace (yes, really) forms part of the Dorchester Collection and is the one and only Le Meurice. The decor is 18th-century, the rooms are air-conditioned and soundproofed, and the gourmet French restaurant has two Michelin stars and head chef Alain Ducasse. Surprisingly, the Place de la Concorde is only a five-minute walk away, and the Louvre is just 600 metres from the hotel. Le Meurice takes luxury to a whole new level and we’re here for it.

Family option? The deluxe double room.
Pricepoint? An expensive ordeal (but worth it).
Vibe? Boujie bijou.

Catering to your every need, your stunning family room comes with a private bathroom, air conditioning (for those muggier summer months), a yoga mat and a digital library – complete with a meditation app. There's also a 24-hour front desk, a gym, and, if you don't fancy braving it out for dinner with the kids, room service is available on weekdays – or a selection of to-go meals are readily available all week round. Aside from the plethora of amenities on-site, you're also located centrally – less than 5 miles from the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre.

‘Travelling with family’ means different things to different people and what works well with a babe-in-arms might not be quite the ticket with two sophisticated 15-year-olds in tow. This bright and stylish hotel in the Latin Quarter is a great choice if you’re looking for somewhere that will satisfy the demands of older children (perfect, for example, if it’s a mum-and-daughter trip) who relish the chance to feel a little more independent. The rooms are colourful and come with unique quirks, the dining area is cool but not stuff and, yeah, there are some good cakes on offer (because, well, we’re still all kids really).

Family option? Explore the option of booking two double connecting rooms.
Pricepoint?
A safe mid-point in the Parisian market.
Vibe?
Arty but welcoming.
